Opus 2134

Phillip A. Ellis

The demon dreams of home, and sighs--
he cannot fly in Earthly air,
and, on his pinnacle of stone,
he sighs and feels both bound and care.

Though bound by hylic gravity
and forms of matter alien,
upon his pinnacle of stone
his spite consumes all in his ken.

The demon dreams of home, and sighs--
he cannot fly from Earthly woe,
the demon dreams and ever longs
return, to soar, to fly, and go.
